Now that Moto X is here, let's find out how it stands up to its competition.
Moto X vs. competing Android smartphones
Finally, Moto X has arrived in India and this time again, Motorola has partnered with Flipkart; which makes the eCommerce site, the lone seller of the smartphone in India. The two companies had earlier partnered over selling Moto G as well, which has become one of the most successful mid-range smartphones in India.
Motorola wants to do that again with its flagship smartphone Moto X, which the company had launched last year but wasn't released in India till today.
Motorola, which designed the phone together with Google, has put in some nifty features such as Touchless Control which always keeps listening to user's voice commands and carries out some tasks without even touching the phone. The control is activated by saying "OK Google." Motorola also says that it is only smartphone that has assembled in the USA.
Another attractive feature that Motorola has given is the customization option which lets users "design" their own Moto X phones. Users can choose custom front colors, back colors (which comes in a cool wooden design as well), accent colors and clear cases. Users can also get their own message imprinted on the phone or leave it blank as well. The smartphone is available in two versions with 16GB and 32GB memory.
It also comes a twist-and-take a photo feature. All you need to do is twist the phone in your hand with your wrist which starts the camera and you can start taking snaps right away.
While many of you might think that Moto X must be a steal just like its smaller brother Moto G, it is important to look at the competition first and then decide. There are other manufacturers that offer compelling specs in their smartphones at similar prices. Other Android smartphones that are available at similar prices are Samsung Galaxy Grand, Gionee Elife E7, Nexus 4 and Sony Xperia ZR. We also decided to include Moto G in the comparison which has been giving other smartphones a run for their money.
So in order to make the choice easy for you, we have decided to show you the differences in specs and prices in a table below

Moto X is a great buy considering its price despite stiff competition from Gionee Elife E7, Nexus 4 and its own sibling Moto G. What makes Moto X stand aside from the crowd is the specs it offers at the price. Gionee Elife E7 features the best specs among the lot above and even beats Moto X single handedly. The only downside might be its size and a slightly higher price. Despite its price, Gionee Elife E7 is still a great buy. If you are ready to spend a few more bucks and can live with a large phone with a huge 5.5-inch display, then buy the Elife E7. Nexus 4 features very similar specs as the Moto X other than the number of processor cores. When it comes to camera, price and battery, Moto X stay slightly ahead of the Nexus 4. Even Sony Xperia ZR which is almost the same as the Nexus 4 in terms of specs, gives tough competition to Moto X but lags behind when it comes price and Android software. Though if you are looking for a better battery and camera, Sony Xperia ZR is a good buy. Samsung Galaxy Grand does cost less but at the same time, it comes with lower end specs when compared to the Moto X despite featuring a heavier battery and a larger screen. Moto G with its attractive price tag gives a tough competition to its big brother but lags behind in terms of specs. If you are looking to try a Motorola Android smartphone for its brand value and Google support, go for Moto X. If you want high-end performance, add some more money and buy Gionee Elife E7. But then again, Moto X has been designed and made by Motorola with Google which might make it a better performing Android phone overall. And not to forget -- the timely upgrades from Google which will make other smartphones always lag behind this beauty from Motorola.

Hey guys , there is a good news by Microsoft , now you can find any text written  in picture that is uploaded to Sky Drive , ya its credible ... But that's the reality .....
Microsoft is taking advantage of its SkyDrive optical character recognition (OCR) to let Windows 8.1 users search for text within photos. OCR is currently rolling out to SkyDrive users worldwide and it automatically processes photos to provide extracted text as a file property. Microsoft is announcing today that Windows 8.1 will be able to access this text through the built-in Bing search.
If you're a Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone user then any photos stored in the camera roll, and uploaded to SkyDrive, will be processed automatically. If you take a picture of a train timetable and want to search for it at a later date, then Windows 8.1 will be able to access the text within that photo to find it and display it. It's a simple and useful feature for photo search, but it's also an easy way to automatically convert photos into text.

The headset which is a work-in-progress, will offer deep sense of immersion to PS4 users. The device will come with a mounted 1080p display and a 90 degree field of view.
Sony reveals virtual reality headset for PS4 called Project Morpheus
The president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has announced that Sony will soon launch a new headset which will bring VR gaming and non-gaming software to Sony's new console, the PlayStation 4. The virtual reality technology from Sony has been named as Project Morpheus. The headset is still in prototype form.
Sony is planning to focus more on virtual reality technology to enhance gaming experience on its consoles. Yoshida says, "Virtual reality is the next innovation from PlayStation that will shape the future of games."
The early VR attempts of Sony were demonstrated by Yoshida using a modified version of God of War seen from a first-person, as well as some headset prototypes that date back to 2010. Later, he unveiled Project Morpheus by revealing a black and white prototype of the headset for PlayStation 4.
Sony plans to demonstrate Project Morpheus at GDC (Game Developers Conference) which is being held till 21 March at Moscone Center in San Francisco, USA.
"We believe Morpheus will further enhance the world of PlayStation 4, with seamless integration with PlayStation Camera and PlayStation Move," Yoshida said. "We will continue to improve on this prototype by gathering feedback from developers. That's why we unveiled it at GDC."
According to Richard Marks, senior director of research and development at Sony Computer Entertainment America, Project Morpheus will be used for non-gaming apps as well. He also added that Sony is working with NASA on its Jet Propulsion Lab which is an exploratory project.
Marks said that Sony is focusing on six areas with its Project Morpheus: sight, sound, tracking, control, ease of use and content. The Japanese electronics giant also wants to make the headset a mass market device.
Morpheus will use Sony's 3D audio techonology that recreates positional sound, "such as footsteps climbing up stairs below them, or engine noises of helicopters flying overhead." Sounds will change along with players' head orientation ""creating a highly realistic audio environment within an immersive 360-degree virtual world."
The current prototype (not the final headset) developed by Sony features following specs:
  • 1080p display
  • 1000Hz motion detection
  • Only one headset at a time is supported
  • Headset is currently connected to the PS4 by a 5-meter wire
  • Positional/rotational head tracking
  • Tracking is handled by the same camera that tracks PS4 Move controllers
  • It works for people with glasses
  • Content pushed to the Morpheus can be mirrored to a TV, but it sounds like it can handle asymmetric gameplay (different things on each screen) as well.
  • An “Open air” design prevents the lenses from fogging up. (It’ll be interesting to see how they prevent light leaking in)
Sony has already developed some playable demo games for the Project such as London Studio's "The Deep," in which players will descent into a diving cage and encounter deadly ocean predators. Other demos include "The Castle," which is a medieval combat game and CCP Games' space dogfighting game called "Eve Valkyrie." A special version of Square Enix's and Eidos Montreal's Thief has also been developed.

The new Nexus tablet will be called Nexus 9 and Google is said to have skipped the 8-inch size this year.
Google to release an 8.9-inch Nexus tablet this year: Rumors
After its successful Nexus 7, Google is reportedly working a Nexus 9 instead of a Nexus 8. According to Digitimes, the new Nexus tablet will come with an 8.9-inch screen instead of an 8-inch screen.
Due to the screen size, the new Nexus tablet will be called Nexus 9 because of its screen size. Other manufacturers like Samsung and Apple have already manufactured tablets of even larger sizes. Samsung recently released its 12.2-inch tablet but hasn't been able to grab major attention in the tablet market with the new device. Apple's new iPad Air has a 9.7-inch display and is one of the most successful tablets among the most recently released ones.
With the new Nexus 9, Google is looking forward to compete with other manufacturers in large size tablets and experts are expecting the company to release its new tablet with a low price just like it did with its Nexus 7. Google had released its premium tablet Nexus 7 (2013) last year which costs only $229.
Experts believe that Google is trying to push other manufacturers to manufacture even larger tablets (over 12-inches). Other rumors regarding the new Nexus tablet also say that the new tablet from Google will feature an Intel Moorefield chip instead of Qualcomm's Snapdragon and also release with a new version of Android a.k.a v4.5 Lollipop.
Google is expected to release the new tablet in July this year. So far the internet search giant hasn't confirmed the rumors regarding the screen size or the release dates.
